Potty Training

I looked back at old posts I had done and over 1 year ago I blogged that I bought Matthew a potty and started potty training.  HA!!  He just now started using the potty regularly.  So I should go down as the record for the longest to potty train her son!  He still wears pull-ups for night and naps.  So I can't really even say he is completely done potty training!!  That made me laugh and I get to do it again in a year or so with Christopher, let's hope he's a quick learner at least with this!

Exercise

So, Christopher is 4 months old now and it's time to lose some weight.  I am breastfeeding so I still have to consume some extra calories (no complaints here), but I am going to clean up my diet.  I want us all to eat better.  Trying to limit the sweets we eat.  We will still have some, but going to cut back.  I will also be getting back to the gym.  I am starting Jamie Eason's 12 week program, Live Fit.  I am feeling out of energy and tired so I want to work out and eat right in order to be healthier and have more energy, not trying to sport a bikini or anything like that, although looking good enough to would be a nice bonus!

Exercise starts Monday, but I think I'm going to the gym tomorrow and Friday to see how the kids do in the child care center and see if I can get them adjusted so I can work out! 

East Coast Earthquake

What an experience, my first earthquake, right before a hurricane and I'm 9 months pregnant!  And my daughter starts kindergarten this week!  We are having a very eventful week!  Now if only I go into labor, we'll have a whole new kind of storm to "enjoy."

Milestones

We have reached some big milestones recently.  So let me document them here.
Emma has lost 4 teeth, all at once.  She had to have her bottom middle 4 teeth pulled b/c she had 2 permanent teeth coming in behind the baby teeth, not pushing out the baby teeth.  She did so good at the dentist.  We did not tell her ahead of time what might happen so as not to scare her.  We think we would have had a hard time getting her to go if she knew what might happen.  Fortunately, no pain involved in the procedure, guess those baby teeth do not have nerves.  She is okay now and wasn't too upset I didn't tell her ahead of time!  Also Emma has been taking swim lessons.  She would not get her head wet at the pool and was afraid to go underwater.  Until about a month ago.  All of sudden she was going underwater and picked up on swimming like a fish!  So we enrolled her in swim lessons.  She just finished her 2 week course and hopefully will go next year for the next level.  I have a ballet slipper on my keychain, so I told her now we need a flipper too! 
Matthew is getting bigger every day and really developing a personality all his own!  He is 2.5 years old and talking much better.  He is not talking as good as Emma did at his age, but he can get his point across and we are hearing longer and clearer sentences out of him!  He is braver than Emma and can do other things Emma didn't do at his age.  So every kid really is different!
I'm 32 weeks pregnant now.  Due date is 9/14/2011, but I think I am going to schedule a c-section for around 9/6/2011 if I don't go into labor before then.  My doc says he will do a c-section when I'm 39 weeks so I don't have to go past my due date waiting for labor to start.  I think I will go into labor before then though, but at least I will have an end in sight!  This pregnancy hasn't been too bad, varicose veins and short of breath have been my 2 biggest issues.  I've gained less weight so far and everyone says I'm all baby!  Let's hope I can lose the baby fat afterward quickly!
Well, there is my update.  Can't wait to update with baby picture!

Baby Boy

I'm having a baby boy and starting to get more excited about it.  Baby Boy Barbour #2 is due Sept. 14.  We do not have a name picked out yet, but we're working on it.  I'm looking forward to seeing Matthew interact and hope he doesn't get too jealous.  It will be nice to see these 2 grow closer and enjoy each other as they get older.  We won't be sharing a room yet, but maybe in a couple years.  I have Matt's room set up to share but I fear there won't be much sleeping going on.  So we may move the baby into my now office and move the office upstairs.  Still lots of work to do before September!

Closed

I hate that stores are closed today.  I have a chance to go out and do some shopping and nothing will be open!  BLAH! 

Potty Training

Today, I bought a potty for Matthew and the potty training begins!  I need this boy potty trained before September when we welcome the arrival of baby Barbour #3!  I think there is a good chance he will be potty trained soon.  He loves the potty and has been sitting on it since we brought it home!  Let's keep this up and see how it goes!
